I believe art is an experience every kid should have because it is known to cultivate curiosity and help with emotions that are sometimes difficult for kids to express. It is also known to help enhance brain function by impacting wave patterns in the nervous system. I would say that most of my artwork is dedicated to kids for kids. Every year since my boys were born I have duplicated an image of their favorite character of that time to help keep the memories and it’s helped them remember. I try to involve them in lots of art projects and I look forward to trunk nights, art classes, and any social event where they can get involved. I love teaching small group classes to kids or even private classes where I get to see different personalities shine through their work.
